Bioframe is an open-source platform for the integration of processes, data and knowledge in biological research. Using a heterogeneous set of protocols, it can be configured to give access to dislocated software resources provided by multiple servers. It allows users to run several types of programs in a simplified manner (such as command line execution) through independent modules that can converse with one another through a series of web services. The module involved in realizing message routing and communication between the components (modules and applications) consists of enterprise service bus (ESB) architecture.
